It is a four-pillar and three-door stone pai-lou, made of oolitic limestone of Zhangxia Fm (about 510 Ma ago) established in the 39th Jiajing year of Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1560 ) by Zhu Heng, provincial governor of Shandong. It is said that it is the site where Confucius once visited. There are many steles including steles (bioclastic limestone) engraved with “ascending a height, surely knowing oneself well” and “the First Mount”, etc. in front of the stone pai-lou, there is the “Heaven street”Archway built in the 42nd Jiajing year of Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1563 ) at the back of the stone pai-lou.
