Yangling Museum of insects [Xianyang]

Northwest Agricultural University of Science and Technology Museum was established in insects 1987, is China's first insect museum. It's construction and development has been the party and state leaders at all levels and departments of the higher level of attention and care. By the State Development Planning Commission, Ministry of Agriculture, the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, the Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone and the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University of Science and Technology invested 8 million yuan for the second phase project of insect museum building. The new museum in August 1999 completion, the area of 4500 square meters, is divided into the exhibition, most of the three collections and scientific research.

Exhibition: Exhibition is the largest and most types of insects on display, the exhibition highest level, financial knowledge, interest in entomology one of the popular science bases, it is also important patriotism education bases.

Favorites: all kinds of insect specimen collection at home and abroad, 1000000, is the collection of one of the largest museums. Entomology professional publications about more than 30,000 volumes, mainly for foreign-language journals.

Study: Institute of Entomology, including the Ministry of Agriculture awarded Dr. entomology, plant protection station and a post-doctoral disciplines approved by the Ministry of Agriculture key part of Entomology Laboratory.

Yangling Insect Museum is located at the Yangling West bus station more than 300 meters.
