The Stone Forest [Kunming]

At the Second Summit Forum of Chinese Brand Influence at the Commendation of Chinese Civilized Scenic Spots Conference held in Beijing on January 19, The Stone Forest Scenic Spot won the honorary titles of 'Top Ten Influential Brand of China’s Tourism Industry' and 'Advanced Unit of Chinese Civilized Scenic Spots'.
　　
Among the many scenic spots of Yunnan, the Stone Forest is the only one to win the title of 'Top Ten Influential Brand of China’s Tourism Industry'. Li Zhengping, the director of the Shilin Tourism Administration, was also elected as one of China’s ten outstanding people in tourism brand construction. At the beginning of the New Year, the Stone Forest made new steps in construction of civilization and brand. This will provide better conditions for the Stone Forest to create a world-class first-rate scenic spot, build a reputation as an international tourism destination and implement the strategy of 'Developing the County on the Basis of Tourism'.

China’s Top Ten Influential Brands of the Tourism Industry are chosen as follows. First, the Organization Committee, China Association of Enterprise Culture Promotion, China Industry Design Association, People’s Daily and Brand Magazine nominate the candidates. Then, several authoritative websites such as Sohu, Xinhua, Sunshine 315, Chinese Consumption and Business Net, and Brand Net announce the candidates and conduct public voting. According to grading over ten indexes such as quality, service, reputation, social image and influence etc, and the result of 'public voting, mutual appraisal of enterprises and auditing of judges', the top ten brands are chosen. With a lot of credibility and influence, the brands chosen have great effects upon the development of the enterprises and the local economy.

The civilized scenic spots are co-appraised by the Central Civilization Office, State Tourism Administration and Ministry of Construction. This year was the first time to conduct this appraisal. There are 11 scenic spots chosen as 'Chinese Civilized Scenic Spots' and 48 as 'Advanced Unit in Building Civilized Scenic Spots'.
