Guilin Crown Rock [Guilin]

The Crown Rock is located at the Caoping Xiang (Grassland Town) in Guilin. The rock is also located on the east bank of Li River. It got its name because it is a crown-like crag rock. The rock has a gate facing Li River and its stream flows into Li River. The twelve kilometers long rock area is actually divided into four small rocks connecting with each other. People traveling by boat on Li River will see the wonderful scenery of the Crown Rock after two hours of sailing from Guilin to Yangshuo. Tourists can sail into the rock from Li River. It is a wonderland place of various stalactite, stone pillars and rock formations in the rock. The place is opened to tourists in 1995 and equipped with illuminating lights, sound control tour guide system and escalators in the scenic area. Sightseeing cars and boats enable people to tour inside the rock. It is expected to become an important excursion site along the Li River. Tourists can also stay in the hotels and villas for the night scenic area because there are many convenient housing and other tourism facilities in this area.
