Dongpo Pavilion (Dongpo Ting) [Beihai]

Dongpo pavilion is the former dwelling ruins of Su Dongpo spanning from Changhua to Lianzhou. Dongpo pavilion is divided into two buildings. The pavilion is surrounded by winding corridors and the double-eave roof construction is of wood and brick structure.

On the upper of the main pavilion’s entrance hung the large brush written Chinese characters of 'the Dongpo pavilion' inscribed horizontal tablet. In the pavilion, there is the carved stone statue of Su Dongpo and other ten prose stele carvings on the wall. On the east side of the pavilion is Dongpo well.

Fable has it that the well was personally dug for Su Dongpo. The well water is pleasant and tasty. To the east of the pavilion is 'Dongpo Park'. It is the tourist attraction of Hepu and also listed under the key cultural relic preservation unit of the country.
