Located on Yuejiang Road in the east of Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, Chongxi Pagoda stands by the river.
Commonly known as Head Pagoda, Chongxi Pagoda was first constructed in the 10th year of the Wanli Reign Period of the Ming Dynasty (1582), 57.5m high, with nine stories. Each story has eight angles, on which wind-bells are hung. When the wind blows, sounds of the bells are heard from all around. Legend has it that a pagoda built here could gather fortune and prosperity.
