Taihao Mausoleum [Zhoukou]

Located to the Caihe River bank north of Huaiyang county 25 km away from the east of Zhoukou. Tai Hao, as known as Fuxishi, he was one of the three well-known emperors (the top ruler in ancient time) in China based on legendary tale, the earliest ancestor in Chinese mythical tales, he made a great contribution for the development of Chinese ancient civilization. Taihao Mausoleum was first built in the Period of Spring and Autumn, the temple was built in Han Dynasty. In 630 A D of Tang Dynasty, Li Shimin, the Emperor of Tang Dynasty, issued an imperial order to send guards to protect the Mausoleum. Later, due the Yellow River changed its river course, the Taihao Mausoleum was submerged by flood. In the Zhengtong 13th year of Emperor Yingzong of Ming Dynasty (in 1648 AD), the Mausoleum was reconstructed. Later, it's being reconstructed, repaired and expanded in different times in Ming & Qing Dynasties.
