Xiuning Temple Tower [Anyang]

Situated in the south of the Qingliang Hill 35 kilometers of the northwest of Anyang City, the tower of Xiuding Temple was built up in the 18th year of Tai He’s reign of Northern Song Dynasty and is renowned as “the first Chinese tower”. It is a tower of monolayer square bricks engraved with patterns, which is very rare in the history of Chinese architecture.
