White Sand Well [Changsha]

The Baisha well has the common saying; "the Changsha sand water, but water without sand ". The Changsha sand water refers to the Baisha well water. The Baisha well is "the Changsha first spring". Together with the Jinan road, the Baotu spring and the Hangzhou Hupao spring, the four are labeled as the four famous springs of the country. The Baisha well is on the north foothill of Huilong Mountain and south of Baisha Road. The fan-shaped well platform along the mountain on the southern region and the arrangement in one line of 4 mouths of spring with 80-centimeter-length and 40-centimeter-width, it is clear enough to see the bottom, along with scoop that is always full, it is the same between the year of drought or excessive rain.
The Baisha has the reputation of "the jade spring flows with sweet water” more than 1,000 years ago. It chiseled many times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. People are full of praise of the “delicate fragrance and mellifluence" "to boil for the tea, the fragrant is invariable". Presently, people are still attached to the clear Baisha water.
