Sanping Scenic Spot lies in Wenfeng Town, Pinghe County, southwest of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province. Surrounded by the mountains, it is the pilgrimage and holiday resort in the southern Fujian Province, receiving over 600,000 persons each year.

With the theme of “bright pearl of Buddhist land in southern Fujian province”, Sanping Scenic Spot is composed of the eight old sights and thirteen modern sights. The eight ancient sights are: Longrui Waterfall, Maoshi Cave, Monk Pool, Tortoise Hill, Tiger Forest, Shilang Pavilion, Immortal Pavilion and Tiger Climb Spring. The thirteen modern sights are: Guangji Garden, Buddhist Tablet, Nine-Dragon Wall, etc. Poems for Divinatory Sticks culture of Sanping Temple are also characteristic, attracting even pilgrims from southeast Asia, Europe and America.

Sanping Tempe is the provincial scenic spot and key cultural relics under provincial protection with the main building commonly called “three and a half halls”, namely Tower Hall, Ancestor Hall, Daxiong Precious Hall and half-built Temple of Heavenly King, is the famous ancient one-thousand year temple and honored to be “bright pearl of Buddhist land in southern Fujian province”.
