Taohuayuan Scenic Spots [Jiujiang]

Taohuayuan, situated in the northwest of Hunan Province and on the lower reaches of Yuanjiang River, is the prototype of the fairyland depicted in the excellent work entitled 'A Portrait Of The Land Of Peach Blossom' by Taoyuanmin, a great poet in China's East Jing Dynasty. It is also the true location of the place called 'land of happiness' by later generations, and has a history of more than 1600 years. The scenic spots are pregnant with values of sightseeing, history, culture and arts. From time immemorial, it has had the fame of the thirty-fifth dwelling of immortals and the forty-sixth blessed spot.Taohuayuan scenic spots cover a total area of 15755 hectares, among which 1580 hectares are covered by the main body scenic areas, 4435 hectares are water areas of Wuling fishing flat land scenic belt, and 9690 hectares are outside protection areas.
