Red Gate (1st Heaven Gate) [Tai an]

Here is the beginning of ticket checking. Fist Heaven Gate was built in Ming dynasty and rebuilt in 1717, Qing dynasty, locating at the south of Red Gate Place. The name “First Heaven Gate” was written by Governor Li Shude in Qing Dynasty while the two monuments at both sides were written by people in Ming dynasty.

Daizong Fang is the gate of Tai Mountain and the First Heaven Gate is the starting point of heaven stairs. People are gradually climbing from earth to the heaven.
