Hefei Safari Park (Hefei Yesheng Dongwuyuan) [Hefei]

The Hefei Safari Park is located on the southwest foot of beautiful Dashushan in Hefei western suburbs. The distance is 15 kilometers from the town centre. The area occupied is 1,530 Chinese acres. The air is fresh here and the water is pure. It is suitable for many kinds of wild animals to breed.

There is the completed peacock garden, the big and small herbivore area, the Australian animal area, the aquatic bird lake, the walking bird area, the monkey park, the hundred islands garden, and the beast of prey breeds area and so on. The Hundred islands garden is the biggest in the country presently where you may enter the garden with hundred of types of birds. The area occupied is 3 square kilometers and it is constituted by the Swan Lake, the bog, the wooded mountain and so on.

In the Hundred islands gardens is breeding of the national first and second class protected birds such as the red-crowned crane, eastern white marabou, the white swan, the black swan and some other 200 birds. On top of that, there are various types of swimming and gorgeous birds amounting to over 800 birds worth watching.

Tourists may get into contact with the animal at close distance, taking photographs, feeding the animals and appreciate animal performance.
