Qingtong Old Town [Taizhou]

Qingtong Old Town is located at the connection of Yancheng, Nantong and Taizhou, in the down river place of Jiangsu with three thousand years history. It is a famous town of art and history as well as culture. It is surrounded by water, fertile field, and graceful environment and considered as the water pearl.

It is a beautiful tour area covered with Granite streets. Xiaoqinghu Avenue, Baxanqiao Lane and construction groups of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, well-preserved and remain the old feature. Shops are filled the downtown area; quantities of people with wave-like flowers. In the Goshan Tea Courtyard there is 'Camellia King of China' of 11 meters high and several hundred years old. Annually, before or after the time of Tomb-sweeping day, thousands of millions Camellia blossom. Folk Customs Museum displays the brick and tile belonging to Qing and Han Dynasties; equipment for furrowing and twining shows people's wisdom and talents of Qingtong. King Camellia, customs halls, and other key attractions together with unique island environment, traditional crafts, and delicious Baxian food are all refreshing to travelers. Strolling in the old town, visiting the Qinhu is interesting.

Drive: drive along the Ningtong Expressway and get off at Taizhou; watching the sign which point to Qingtong.
