Tangqiao Park [Shanghai]

In December 2001, a nearly 40,000 m2 large public green------Tangqiao Park emerged at Dongfang Road. The park lies in the west side of Dongfang Road, with Zhangjiabang to the North, Custom Apartment to the west and Eshan Road to the south. It covers an area of 37,700 square meters, with a lake of 13,000 square meters and green lands making up 60% of the park. Architectural articles of various types in the park serve to be the major adornment, blending the park and the surroundings through clever arrangement. With "forest and water" as its theme, the most special aspect of the park is that the lake in it is connected with Zhangjiabang Creek, so that boats from Zhangjiabang Creek can go into the park directly. The unique creativeness represents the idea of "sightseeing tour" both in and out of the park.
