The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) [Shanghai]

The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) continued its record of success in 2006. It hosted a total of 74 events that drew over 52,000 exhibitors and more than 2.6 million visitors to the Expo Centre. Sales in 2006 exceeded US$ 46 million.

Because demand remained high, Halls E3 and E4 were built and the outdoor exhibition site was expanded. So as of March 2006, the SNIEC has a total of 103,500 m² of hall space and 100,000 m² of outdoor exhibition space available.

Construction of two additional halls began in early 2007, thus increasing the available hall space to 126,500 m² in total by 2008. A hotel and a conference centre built by an investor is scheduled for completion by mid-2009.
