Huangpu Park [Shanghai]

Huangpu Park is to the southwest of the convergence of Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek. There are the Monument to the People’s heroes, the large-scale memorial statuary of Pujiang Wave and the Bund Historical Memorial. The Monument consists of there 60-meter tall granite poles, signifying the immortality of people’s heroes who hade sacrificed their lives in the revolutionary struggles in Shanghai. The large-scale statuary in relief shows these struggles’ outstanding achievements that are worthy of tears and praises all the time. The Bund Historical Memorial was designated Shanghai Base of Patriotic Education by Shanghai Municipality is open to the public free of charge.
