Nong'an once was the location of the Huanglong Government in Jin Dynasty. In Liao and Jin Dynasty, it was so prosperous that it left many historical spots, the most typical one of which is Liao Tower, which was the masterpiece of the northeastern people in 10 A.D. Nong'an Liao Tower, a fully preserved Liao and Jin Dynasty ruin, was built near the West Gate of Nong'an County in Jilin between the year 983 and 1030. The white tower is made of stick and wood with stick solid. It is 43 meters' tall with 8 angles and 13 floors.
