It is situated at No.5, Guangfu North Road, and the northeastern corner of Changchun, downtown district, whose south part extends to Guangfu North Road, north to Zhujiang Road, east to Tieling Center, west to Xingyan hutong. It consists of ten buildings or so such as palace, garden, hippodrome, Jianguo fane, lifeguard’s station and so on, covering an area of 0.137 million square meters.
The main architecture style of buildings in it concludes European Gothic buildings, Chinese-Japanese temple hall, and Chinese ancient tiled house with a veranda. It can be divided into two parts: inner chambers for daily life presenting as a palace exhibition hall of puppet Man-regime now and outer ones for political activities as a imperial palace exhibition hall of puppet Man-regime. The inner chambers are composed of east and west chambers, which respectively consist of Tongde Palace, Jiale Palace, Imperial Garden and Jixi Tower, Qinmin Tower, Huaiyuan Tower.
As a museum based on the old site, it was dwelled by the king Puyi Aixinjueluo when he was in power. From it we can see how Japanese invaded the Northeastern China and controlled people with cruel Fascism in history. The new museum selectively embodied some parts of the old one, holding some suitable exhibitions like 'previous condition of Qinmin Tower', 'previous condition of Jixi Tower', 'Never Forget 9.18 Event', 'From King to Citizen', 'Puyi and his queen and concubine', 'previous condition of Fengxian Temple', all of which have given people a clear view of the criminal activities made by the Japanese. Having gotten a fine preparation and good performance, it is authorized as the national excellent education base and national key-protecting unit.
