Labor Park [Dalian]

Located in the shadow of Lushan Mountain, this park has close ties with China's history. After liberation took place more than 100 years ago the local citizenry restored the park's beauty and erected a monument with the words 'Work Create World' carved into it. Since then, it has been recognized as Labor Park. A massive lawn lined with more 300,000 flowers is the park's centerpiece. It also offers amusement rides, a game farm full of peacocks, deer, and cranes, a lotus pond and the famous red-and-white soccer ball sculpture that acknowledges Dalian as China's "football town."
