The National Aquatics Center, also known as the Water Cube which located in the Olympic Park will be the main natatorium for the 2008 Summer Olympics and will become one of the symbolic bulidings of 2008 Olympic Games. It lies with the Beijing National Stadium which also known as the Bird's Nest in the two sides of the axis of City Beijing, thus creating an appearance of relative integrated historical landmark of Beijing. The area of construction land of the National Aquatics Center is 62950 square metres while the overall area of construction land is 65000 to 80000 square metres. The National Aquatics Center will hold such games as Swimming, Diving, Synchronised swimming and Water polo. The stadium will seat as many as 17000 spectators during the Olympics, but this will be reduced to 8000 after the games.
