Golden Hill [Chengde]

The Golden Hill in Imperial Summer Resort was built following the example of Jinshan Temlple (Golden Hill Temple) of Zhenjiang in Jiangsu Province. Golden hill including the 36 Kangxi points of view, eighteenth Tianyuxianchang, and Thirdty-two Jingshuiyuncen. South of the mountain is stone steps to Shuixi, north of the steps is gate hall, there are Jingshui hall and Tianyuxianchang hall. o­n top of the mountain, there is Shangdi hall.

Chengde belongs to continental monsoonal mountain climate; there is no heat season, which is a summering resort. It’s suitable for travel there in four seasons, but the beautiful natural scenery is seasonal, therefore the best time for traveling there is from April to October

Qianlong king visited south of China, he saw the amazing view of Jinshan which located in Jiangsu province. When He backed to Bejing, he built the golden hill which is simulate with Jiangsu Jinshan. There are many strange stones in the Golden hill island, though there are man-made, but also interesting. When people boating in the lake, they can see the overview of the Golden hill.
