Mianyang Airport MIG

Mianyang Nanjiao Airport is seated in southern outskirt of Minayang city, operating flights to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Bus No.48 will get to the airport from downtown Mianyang.

The Airport was constructed in 1997 and costs 899 million yuan, airport officials said.

The airport is near to Jiuzhaigou, one of the most popular tourist attractions in China. The distance is also 150 kilometers less than that from the Shuangliu Airport in the provincial capital Chengdu, used by most tourists currently.

The Mianyang Airport will also be used as a backup to the Shuangliu Airport, the officials said.
